La Charreada

La Charreada is far more than a rodeo. It is a living tradition—one that honors generations of horsemanship, family, craftsmanship, and pride. Every event reflects a deep respect for the horse and the enduring heritage of Mexico's national sport.

What draws me to La Charreada is not only the remarkable skill of the charros and escaramuzas, but also the traditions that surround them. From the beautifully crafted saddles and silver-adorned tack to the elegant attire and the close partnership between horse and rider, every detail tells a story of history, dedication, and identity.

My goal is to capture both the excitement of the competition and the quieter moments that reveal its heart—the concentration before an event, the bond between horse and rider, the pride of family, and the traditions passed from one generation to the next.

Through these photographs, I hope to celebrate the beauty, artistry, and enduring spirit of La Charreada while sharing with others a tradition that continues to inspire and unite communities on both sides of the border.
